UBEC 5A (3–15S) with Voltage Monitoring for Cube Orange / Cube Orange+
Overview
The UBEC 5A (3–15S) with Integrated Voltage Monitoring is a compact, high-efficiency synchronous step-down regulator designed for UAVs, drones, robotics, and other systems operating from high-voltage battery packs.
It accepts power directly from a 3–15S LiPo / Li-ion battery and provides a stable regulated output for flight controllers, receivers, telemetry equipment, cameras, communication modules, and other onboard electronics.
This version also includes an integrated battery voltage sensing circuit specifically designed for use with flight controllers such as the Cube Orange / Cube Orange+.
The voltage sensing output allows the flight controller to monitor the main battery voltage directly through the POWER connector and display the voltage in Mission Planner or another compatible Ground Control Station.
The UBEC provides a continuous output current of up to 5A and supports peak currents of up to 7A for short periods of approximately 10 seconds.
Continuous operation above 5A is not recommended due to increased heat generation.

Integrated Voltage Monitoring
The UBEC includes an integrated analog voltage sensing circuit with a 31:1 voltage divider ratio.
The voltage sensing signal is available on Pin 4 of the JST-GH 6-pin connector and is designed for connection to the battery voltage sensing input of compatible flight controllers.
When connected to a Cube Orange / Cube Orange+, the flight controller can monitor the main battery voltage in real time.
The measured voltage can be displayed in:
-
Mission Planner
-
QGroundControl
-
Telemetry systems
-
ArduPilot battery monitoring
-

Important Notes
The integrated sensing circuit provides battery voltage measurement only.
This product does not provide current measurement and should not be described as a full voltage-and-current power module.
For accurate voltage readings, calibration against a multimeter is recommended after installation.
Continuous operation above 5A is not recommended. The 7A rating is intended for short peak loads only.
